Dukes of Hazzard General Lee Pedal Car By Coleco

The General Lee Pedal Car was made by Coleco in 1982 and to this day is one of the rarest and most popular Dukes of Hazzard memorabilia items you will ever find. It had a working dixie horn, motor noises. The drives door, hood, and trunk were operational.

Here are a few rare snaps of an original pedal car new in the box. Enjoy!

WoW! This was my favoite toy ever. Grandma had a long, wide, cement driveway that went downhill. I would start at the top, get going fast, and at the bottom, I'd hit the brakes, turn the wheel, and spin out. It was an absolute blast!!! I eventually wore out the plastic wheels doing this of course. :o(

I have one of these! The pedals totally work, as does the steering. The trunk opens. All the decals are there, but not just-out-of-the-box new. The the driver's door is missing, as is the horn mechanism. Sad, but true. Fact is, I'm willing to sell to a good home where Ol' General Lee will get lots of attention. Interested? Email me at langfelder@gmail.com! - Allison

I am interested in obtaining one of these for my grand children. I had one for sons and it was the all time favorite but lost it in a move years ago. I think our sons would be so shocked if I found one for the grand kids. Looking to create another memorable moment! Please contact me if you have one. Cduncan@mindspring.com

I had one of these as a small child, then when I was 8 years old my father gave it away. When I was 9 he sold his '74 Dodge Charger for 600 dollars. I aint know for which I cried more I loved them both. Many hours were spent flying down the hill in that pedal car, I wish I still owned it!

Hell yah I miss this car lol even though I would never fit in it now this was the best of the best toys Ive ever had growing up in the 80's I was maybe 4 when I was cruisin around the neighborhood in this. I later destroyed my car when i was like 10 by attaching a tow rope to it and dragging all my friends around the block with my mountain bike lol Good Times for sure!!

I also remember getting mad that the door opened. My dad had to rig it up so it wouldnt open. My thought was in my 5 year old brain, was if they climb thru the window, why cant i climb over the door? I cried til dad fixed it. I was the only little girl on my country mile with a general lee!

I bought one in 1985 for our first grandson when he was three. We kept the car after he was finished with it and each of our 7 succeeding grandchildren spent hours riding it down our long drive and spinning out at the end. I've kept it repaired as best I could and it has been stored for 15 years. Now we have greatgrandsons coming of age for it. If any one has usable wheels I would be interested.

I currently own a General Lee Pedal Car. The rods seems to be missing that work the pedal action, the electronics are not working, and most of the stickers are worn off. I am willing to listen to any reasonable offer on this item. crumbo12000@yahoo.com

Had one growing up and it was an absolute blast. It seems nobody makes plastic pedal cars like these anymore. They were pretty ergonomic and much more fun than the narrow, top-heavy metal ones I see all over the place.
